Andrew Poutiatine

Andrew has over 25 years of experience as an executive, manager and designer in the medical device and consumer product markets, including at AcelRx, SinuSys, Durect and Speck Product Design. An inventor of 35 issued US patents, Andrew studied engineering and product design at UCSB, MIT and Stanford University, and is an avid fly fisherman.


Michael Barry

Michael is a founder of Quotient Design Research, and has over 3 decades of experience providing strategic innovation at the critical early stages of the innovation process. He's an Adjunct Professor in the Stanford University d.School, a guest lecturer at the Harvard School of Business and the University of California Haas School of Business and studied engineering and product design at Stanford University.

Brad Bertoglio

Brad is an attorney and senior executive with over 20 years of experience in intellectual property procurement, licensing and enforcement.  With a background in electronics and engineering, he also co-founded, built and sold a technology-enabled legal business process company serving many of the world’s largest companies.


Scott Hummel

As a creative account director, Scott couples a background in organizational leadership with project strategy and execution. He advises companies on brand identity development and promotion, as well as digital design, marketing, and search engine optimization. Scott studied at Virginia Tech and the California College of the Arts and coaches youth baseball and football.


Jason Machacek

Jason is a software engineer, manager and business development professional with extensive experience in consumer electronics, medical devices and enterprise software. He advises early-stage startups in product and technology development strategy, and manages complex software development efforts. In his free time, Jason develops affordable housing for rural communities.


Charlie Rampersaud

Trained as an engineer, Charlie specializes in start-ups, and has held positions from designer through CEO. For the last 20 years he has focused on medical device start-ups having helped four of them go public. He has over 15 issued patents, advises start-ups on strategy and fundraising, and spends his off time teaching his kids how to ski and bike.
